🎥 Black Filmmakers Matter:
Transforming Dreams into Reality
Hey dream supporters!
Picture a school where unique talents go unnoticed—a system failing to nurture the incredible potential of its students. As a substitute teacher in New Jersey, I witnessed this firsthand in an inner-city school system.
Enter the Black Filmmakers Matter Podcast—our beacon of hope for the unheard voices in our classrooms. Our mission: is to empower young black filmmakers and turn their passion into a profession, providing them with a promising future.
Hosted by Carona Davis-Diop, our podcast connects aspiring students with established filmmakers. In quick 20 to 30-minute episodes, we guide them on camera use, lighting, sound, storyboarding, and crafting outstanding movie posters.
But we need YOUR support!
Our mission begins in New Jersey and Massachusetts, targeting students with limited access to film school due to public school limitations. Together, let's uplift the next generation of filmmakers and turn their dreams into reality. Through our 20 to 30-minute episodes, we guide young black filmmakers on:
📸 Effective camera use
💡 Fundamentals of lighting
🎙 Essentials of sound
📝 Significance of storyboarding
🎨 Crafting an outstanding movie poster
🎬 Join us in creating a brighter future for these talented young minds. Together, we can make dreams come true.
But we can't do it alone. We need YOUR help.
Thank you for your support!
